Hot Stone Massage

Feel Your Stress Melt Away with a Hot Stone Massage

Our Masseuses Specialize in Hot Stone Massage

Our Masseuses Specialize in Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage combines the healing power of therapeutic massage with the relaxation of heat. This combination has the power to quickly diffuse chronic pain, release tension, and create a more relaxing result than just a therapeutic massage alone. By using hot stones, the massage therapists at Pathway to Serenity can provide a deeper massage and relax muscles that would ordinarily be unavailable to their healing touch through therapeutic massage. Click here to book your hot stone massage.

Like with many of our other massages your path to recovery begins with your massage therapist greeting you at the door. They will then offer to brew you a hot cup of tea of your favorite flavor from the offered varieties. Feel free to take a moment to unwind in our relaxation center and let the cares of your day slip away. In order to fully enjoy this part of the massage experience, you may want to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early so as not to take away from your massage time. When you are ready your massage therapist will escort you to one of our luxurious private massage rooms.

What is a Hot Stone Massage?

A hot stone massage uses smooth heated stones placed at specific points on the body to increase relaxation and loosen tight muscles. Some of those points might be the back, stomach, face, hands, or feet. These heated stones are also held by your massage therapist during the massage. Pathways to Serenity uses basalt stones for their hot stone massage. These are volcanic rock that retains heat very well. Typically, the stones are heated in a stone heater and the temperature can range between 135-140 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have certain medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, varicose veins or you are taking a blood thinner, you should consult with your health care provider before getting a hot stone massage.
